Station 3 Cardio


What is the sign shown ?
What is the diagnosis ?
What is the possible underlying valve lesion ?

    infective endocarditis.

  2. Janway macules & Osler`s nodules.Vasculitic rash associated with subacute endocarditis.The diagnosis will be confirmed by detecting significant cardiac murmur,echocardiography & blood culutres.The most likly cardiac valve is mitral valve.

  3. He has Janeway lesion, although you do see it at the pulp, however it is non-tender and non-palpable.
    Congrats !

    He happens to be an IVDU and therefore has a TR murmur. Also has MR and thromboembolic phenomenon of stroke.
